According to Samsung and bestbuy websites the Gear Fit 2 has a Music Player with internal storage and also works with Spotify. Headphones are probably required. You can also view and respond to texts although I think that responding is limited to programmed or canned responses. https://news.samsung.com/global/first-look-gear-fit2
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can play music several different ways although there is no speaker You can download music to the Fit 2, there is 4GB of internal memory You can use Spotify the app is preinstalled You can stream from your phone. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can store music on it, BUT......ONLY IF YOU HAVE A SAMSUNG/ANDROID PHONE. You can not transfer directly from PC or via Bluetooth or WiFi, and of course it doesn't support IOS. I knew about the iOS part, but to not be able to transfer music without a phone is ridiculous. They really need to make that apparent in their tech specs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can play music from the phone or from the 4GB on the watch (don't need a phone nearby) It can read and reply to text messages (premade responses or emoticons). It can also get notifications from other apps and can customize which apps can display notifications.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can view and respond to text messages. You get a list of premade responses and emoticons. You can view other messenger messages (like Hangouts), but it won't let you reply. You can customize which programs give notifications. Yes, you can play music from the phone or the watch itself (it has 4GB of memory)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can view text messages on it and and also send quick replies but as far as music it will not play from the watch but on your phone or with wireless earbuds.
