So you should be able to connect your watch to phone so that you get your notifications/texts maybe even calls without having your cell on you- that's one of the main sell points as to why I bought it. HOWEVER, since I don't have a Premium Spotify account, I'm unable to play music from watch, and I haven't downloaded any music to my cell to be able to save to the watch. If you have music on your cell and/or Premium Spotify (or Tidal I believe), then you can upload to your watch and play directly from watch. I own Treblab bluetooth earbuds and they connect perfectly to the watch. Hope this helps some...
