A:AnswerI believe it links with spotify automatically out of the box. If you don't use that you can load music onto it using Samsung music, which is what I do. It holds a lot of music on it, and I have several playlists saved on mine. It's so great not having to carry around an ipod. It's all right there on your wrist. The music feature was a big selling point for me, and one of the main things I love about this device.

A:AnswerTo be honest, the heartbeat sensor is awful on the device. We checked it against a medical grade heart rate monitor and it was off by about 20 bpms, So I would expect it to detect missed heartbeats. Other than that, it's a great fitness tool.
A:AnswerNo. If you Google it, Samsung is trying to get FDA approval for technology for one of their smart watches, but not this one. It does measure heart rate.
A:AnswerYou can't text as you do it with your phone, choosing a person and then text this person. What you can do is to answer a text you receive. After you receive a text, you can read it in you watch and answer it. You can pre- arrange some useful answers on you phone to use it in your watch, such as, I am busy now, thank you, yes please, no thank you, etc. Or you can answer a text with just an icon. You can also, using your watch, reject phone calls with a text, for example, "I am busy call you later". You can create your own answering texts. I send you a sample of my quick texts that I use to answer through my watch. I love this device!!! It should be ok with your Samsung 8. I have a Samsung 7 and it works perfectly.
A:AnswerI have used with both my iPhone 7&8 without issue. As long as you have Bluetooth and can download the app, this will work without issue. Either way, you can still use the watch, you will just loose the upload ability to your phone if it is not compatible.
