• Yes. After using the Samsung Gear app to setup your phone, go to the connections settings on your phone and turn off mobile network. If you leave this on, you will constantly see a notification pop up, saying that the SIM isn't provisioned (not connected to any carrier). I personally use this AT&T Gear S3 (R765A) connected via Bluetooth & WiFi to my VZW Samsung Galaxy S5.

• Yep! You don't have to activate it right away, or at all. My boyfriend just uses the Bluetooth.

• Yes you can, you will be able to use any feature you want, except you will have to have your phone with you to receive or initiate any calls or texts.

• Yes, but then you would pay full price. so you might as well buy it somewhere else. the 250$ is for a 2 year contract for an additional line I believe.
