This version can hold the Galaxy 8+ where the 2016 is smaller.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The odd with this is the S8 & S8+ model...specifically the S8+ being 6.2inches and Note 8 being 6.3 inches (only 1/10th diff)... You would think the S8+ model is totally capable of holding the Note 8!! I do know that the Note 8 2017 version is backwards compatible but I have hard time thinking the earlier 2017 S8+ version wouldn't work as well!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The S8 has a 5.8 inch screen, the Note 8 is 6.3 inches. As such, this version will fit the Note 8. Prior versions of VR Gear would be too small.

Please try again later.I found out the only difference is this supports the NOTE 8 cause its 6.3 inch screen is larger tahn the S8 and the S8 PLUS the note 8 has a 6.3 inch screen the s8 is a 5.8 and the S8 Plus is 6.2 very close to the Note 8 but thats the only difference with the new vr glasses support the bigger note 8 screen
