• You would have to download a free app to open those files, but this computer claims to be able to open any file with the proper app which is available if you search in the app store. I haven't tested this, but it seems like they are probably telling the truth about that.

• If Microsoft Publisher - or another third-party publisher - makes a program available that will run the Publisher files, then it can run on a Chromebook.
