“Would I be able to connect the chromebook with my bluetooth speaker? I read something about the bluetooth not being capable of connecting with another devices other than extenal bluetooth keyboard/mouse and this really concerns me. thanks!”

Yes, Bluetooth is a standard, and connecting one device to another should be just a matter of connecting the two devices to each other. Both the Bluetooth speakers and the Chromebook should have easy to follow instructions on setting up a Bluetooth connection.
