Ive used these in several desktops, I think they say "for laptop" just so people know they will fit in a laptop. Most of mine were conversions though -- I used Samsung's Magic drive and a USB connector to clone my original HDD over to the SSD and just swapped them out. You can download the software from their website for free. I used one for a clean build and installed Windows 10 - I didn't have to do anything to it -- just plugged it into the system and when I ran the Windows install disk I made it did everything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should work fine as long as your system has SATA connectors...use Velcrow to attach the SSD to the case (Desktop) or youcan get mounting kits...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is half the thickness of the HDD I replaced in my laptop, so I had to add some padding to keep it stable as there was no way to screw it down. It's a tight fit, so shouldn't come lose and being a SSD a little vibration shouldn't bother it. I'm not an expert, but see no reason why it wouldn't work in a desktop case. You might need an adaptor kit to fasten it down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use this in any computer even gaming systems.. it will need formatting depending on what you use it for but its easy to do when you install the operating system on it. Great for a gaming build as I have one in mine currently!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All hard drives should be formatted before using in a new machine. You will want to check with you case specs to make sure you can mount a 2.5" hard drive without needing a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using this for my gaming rig. Though most drives (SSDs & HDDs) come pre-formatted, it's best to format IMO even a quick format.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To my knowledge, all SSD's are of the 2.5 inch laptop format. To install in a desktop, simply purchase a 3.5 inch mounting bracket. Drive connections are SATA, so the computer will recognize it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use this on a desktop or laptop. Note that it is smaller than a normal desktop hard drive (desktop 3.5 inch vs 2.5 inch). They do make 2.5 to 3.5 adapters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used these in PC's with no issue. of course you have to either have a 2.5 inch disk mount or use and adaptor to fit the standard 3.5 inch PC disk slots.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine said very few hours, But its JUNK, Lasted less then a week and was super slow, Ran SMART and said failed with errors!
