It will came blank and formatted, so ready to use. All you need to do is install this drive in your computer (Assuming you have multiple SATA ports; if you don't, you'll need to buy a SATA to USB adaptor), boot off your old drive, and download some disk cloning software (I believed I used a program called DiskGenius, if I'm remembering correctly). Then, with both drives connected, run the program, remove the old drive, and everything should work great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The refurbished SSDs function just like a new drive, they just have some usage logged already. Sometimes it's as much or more than the size of the drive but it generally doesn't negatively affect it. The drives are ready to format and write to just as any other. I *have* received bad refurbished drives, but that's the exception not the rule. Look at it this way, they're 'broken in' already. Just connect the 'new' SSD to your computer and install the Samsung Migration Tool on your old drive. You should be able to image it without a problem
