I purchased this late December 2021, installed the very next day. It came in a anti-static bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, so there is no original packaging, but it did not have any outward signs of abuse and after I cloned my drive, it performed wonderfully. Coming from a mechanical hard drive with 140 MB/s I'm now quite satisfied with 3500 MB/s sequential read speeds. Boot time for Windows dropped from 6 minutes to about 6 seconds.

If you have Rust on a mechanical drive I understand as I play rust also and used to start loading then go make make breakfast and take a nap then it would be loaded lol. You will be amazed at how fast it loads from a SSD. refurbished on SSD typically means the data on them has been completely wiped and speed test run on drive, as long as everything runs according to specs it is still good and has now been refurbished.
