Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Samsung Gear Fit requires a samsung app "Gear Fit Manager" to run on the phone in order to communicate with it via Bluetooth. See if you can find "Gear Fit Manager" in the Play Store on your S6. Not "Samsung Gear", which supports a different watch. After my Galaxy S5 died, I went to Best Buy to try both the S6 and S7 phones, but could not find Gear Fit Manager on them in the Play Store. Same result for the Galaxy Express Prime phone. The Gear Fit itself prompts you to try "apps.samsung.com/gearfit". I did not try this on the S6, but on the S7 and Express Prime, it returns a message "This device does not support Gear Fit" (see picture). After calling Samsung I was eventually told that Gear Fit Manager had not yet been updated for Android 6 (Marshmallow). When pressed, they told me that this would take place in "a month or two". It's been almost 2 months since I contacted them, and no progress yet as of 2016/06/11. ------------ There is an app developed by a 3rd party called "Open Fit: Open Source Gear Fit" in the Play Store. It was written to allow use of the Gear Fit with non Samsung Phones, and it turns out that it also works with the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime phone, possibly their other Android 6 phones. It is not quite as robust as Gear Fit Manager was, and does not support all the Gear Fit applets, but does cover the basics.
