- Answer Geek Squad Certified is a returned item that has to be tested for all available types of functionality. Once it works properly, is updated, and verified functional Geek Squad will factory restore and remove all personal information. Manufacturer refurbished is basically a repaired unit that had a problem and was fixed, then verified.

- Answer You can read text messages on the watch, you can not reply from the watch. For calls you can dismiss an incoming call (same as hitting red button on phone to send to voice mail) or you can use the option to send a preset text message to the caller. You can not answer from the phone. I have my connected to the S6 and I can have the watch and bluetooth headset connected at the same time with no issues.

- Answer For the first run, it needs to be connected to a Samsung smartphone via Bluetooth. Once that is done, you can disconnect the Bluetooth and use it standalone. For using it on a non Samasung Android phone, search the play store for gear fit software which should do the trick.

- Answer There isn't a paper manual. You need to download the Gear Fit Manager from the Samsung app store, which updated should be now called Galaxy Apps. When you open the app it walks you through it and it's really easy to use.
