Hi SteveM25 - Each Samsung Soundbar is designed to be exclusively compatible with the subwoofer included; both the HW-KM45 and HW-A450 Soundbars will only work with the subwoofer included with each model. The only Samsung Soundbar that is compatible with a separately sold subwoofer is the HW-S60T Soundbar, which works with the SWA-W500 Subwoofer. ^Gina
