“i’m connecting the soundbar to tv with optic cable, but the soundbar settings do not show up on the tv to switch modes. does it need to be hooked up with bluetooth to see on my tv?”

Hi avshouse! Hi! The HW-A450 does not feature an on screen display. The information when changing settings will show up on the front of the soundbar directly in the center. On my unit there is only a usb out. But if you are connected to the sound bar optic out to TV in...I think set-up is on the sound bar to follow. After that set-up process, I went into my tv turned of the internal speaker and you have to do a search for the tv to fine the sound bar. Hope this helps.
