When adjusting the settings on the soundbar with the remote, you can view what adjustments are being made on the soundbar's display itself. These adjustments will not show on the TV. If the remote is not working, please make sure the batteries are inserted properly and the soundbar is in the proper orientation with the Samsung logo on top.
