Decent sound bar.

Its lacking Alexa support but made up for it with other features such as bluetooth and wifi connection. Decent base and overall sound quality is 8/10. My other sound bar is q700 which has Alexa support and Q symphony which i dont use. So if you dont care about these features then this one is great choice

Great sounds for the price

Simple setup, easy to use, works well with the TV we have, and has several different preset sounds that work well with music and movies.

Good Sound Simple Setup

I was looking for improved sound over my TV speakers. What I got was exactly that. Much improved sound over what was produced from the TV. The setup couldn’t have been easier. I used the HDMI Arc connection from the TV to the HDMI Arc connection on the soundbar and connected my Apple TV to the HDMI in port on the soundbar. Turned on the TV and it worked flawlessly. The subwoofer was just as easy. Placed it in a back corner of the bedroom, plugged it in and it worked with no fiddling around with configuration. I won’t say that the sound rivals or is even close to my 7.2 dedicated home theater system in my living room but it wasn’t intended to. For my needs it exceeded my expectations. The only con is the mounting system to the wall. It’s very simple and a template was provided that made it easy to drill the required two holes perfectly. The issue is that it appears to sag just a little. I fixed that by putting two very small rubber wedges between the bracket and the wall at the bottom. It lifted the soundbar just enough to make it level. Overall, this was a good buy for what I needed and would recommend.

Perfect setup for a little extra umph

It sounds amazing and fills up the room perfectly. I paired it with a 55" Samsung smart tv and there have been absolutely 0 issues with connection or lag! It sounds great playing action movies and music. I think it's a perfect setup for those who don't want to spend a ton but want a nice surround sound system. Definitely recommend buying the rear speakers to compliment it!

Defective product

Now it won’t turn on or respond in any way. After spending some time troubleshooting over the phone with Samsung they determined the system is defective. This is the 4th defective item I have purchased from Best Buy within the past 2 years and am beginning to think it’s not just bad luck at this point. Very frustrating

- A:Answer Hi EricK! HDMI ARC is a simple, one cable connection from the soundbar to the TV, allowing the TV to send audio to the soundbar via HDMI. If the TV does not support HDMI ARC, you can utilize the HDMI pass-through on the soundbar, connect to the TV via digital optical audio, or utilize the built in Bluetooth audio for a wireless connection to Bluetooth compatible TVs. ^Tim

Q: QuestionHi, I bought A650 sound bar from bestbuy and I’m trying to connect my existing rear Samsung speakers SWA 900s model. I’m nog able to connect then. Does this model work for A650 sound bar? Appreciate your help.

- A:Answer Hi Victor - The HW-A650 Soundbar is compatible with both the SWA-9000S and SWA-9100S Rear Kits. After connecting your rear speakers to the receiver, plug your soundbar into an electrical outlet and turn off the soundbar by pressing the power button on the main soundbar unit. Configure "ID SET" by pressing either the VOL button or the Up button on your soundbar's remote. Hold down the button for 5-6 seconds until the “ID SET” message appears on your soundbar’s display. Turn the soundbar back on using its remote or by pressing the Power button on the soundbar itself. Some soundbar models will automatically power on after completing the "ID SET" steps. The LINK LED indicator will stop blinking and glow a solid blue when a connection is established between the soundbar and the wireless receiver. If you are still unable to pair the rear speakers after trying these steps, please contact Samsung Support so we can better assist you in connecting your rear speakers to your soundbar. Q: QuestionThe description for the HW-A650/ZA on Best Buy says it supports Dolby Atmos, but I can't find any additional information elsewhere that it actually does. I'm assuming this is not accurate information but wanted to confirm support for Atmos.

- A:Answer Hi Golf! The subwoofer included with the HW-A650 includes a power cable that will need to be connected to a nearby outlet. Once powered, the subwoofer will automatically wirelessly connect to the soundbar. This gives you the ability to place the subwoofer in a variety of locations throughout the room. ^Tim
