“If soundbar is connected via an HDMI cable to a Samsung SB95B OLED eARC port, will the soundbar turn on every time TV is turned on, or can you choose when to use the soundbar? I want to default to using the TV audio only and use the soundbar for movies.”

Hello! I have the QN95B with eARC on Port 3. The soundbar is default when the TV is turned on when connected to that port. Selecting the quick settings menu on the remote, you can toggle the different sound profiles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Soundbar turns on automatically when ever the TV is turned on. You would have to manually turn it off and on accordingly. I'm not aware of anyway way to set it up where it behaves differently due to content type.

You can either turn this feature on or off by following the steps below. Using your TV remote, press HOME > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). You will turn Anynet+ OFF. When Anynet+ is OFF, the soundbar will not turn on or off with the TV itself. You will need to have your soundbar remote nearby so you can power the soundbar on/off. ~Samsung Solutions
