• Yes they can be. Although a bit arduous, the volume of both left and right rear surround speakers can be independently raised or lowered via the remote control. Additionally the volume from the top speaker output can be controlled as well.

• Yes, if using the Samsung SmartThings App you can control channel levels for all speakers.

• Hi Annette, There are two different ways to increase the volume of the rear speakers of the HW-Q930B Soundbar. Using the provided soundbar remote you will press CH LEVEL until you see REAR LEVEL and TOP REAR LEVEL. Using the UP/DOWN buttons on the remote will allow you to adjust the level from -6 to +6. If you want to use the SmartThings app from your smart device, connect your soundbar using the app first. After everything is connected you can use the SmartThings app to control your soundbar as you would the soundbar remote. ~Samsung Solutions
