But the fact is that multi channel lpcm is not working at all on the EARC port… any fix in sight?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks Gina - but again, that's doesn't solve the problem. Q950a does not accept multi-channel PCM over EARC and that's the problem. If I use 'auto' on the TV versus passthrough, processing is switched to the TV, adding delay and using DD+ for Dolby MAT - so it's not full-fat Atmos. I also cannot send 5.1/7.1 PCM from PS5 or other components (either on passthrough or auto) because of the lack of multi-channel PCM support on EARC. Going directly into the bar is not an option since we'd lose all HDMI 2.1 video features. When will Samsung fix the PCM over EARC that's at the core of this?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks Gina. But why is that? It should work on "Passthrough" where the sound bar handles the processing In Auto mode, depending on the TV< you add compression, delay and lower the quality of the sound (any sounds) and there is no reason for that behavior - especially when other manufacturers have been able to
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Kyne - You definitely can enjoy full-fat Atmos with the HW-Q950A. When connected to a non-Samsung TV, please change the TV’s eARC output setting to “Automatic” – this will allow Atmos to play on the HDMI ARC port. ^Gina
