Is the display always on or can it be turned off? Thx null

The display can be turned off , I have mind hook-up to my Samsung TV with a HDMI cable , works with TV remote , I hope I answered your question !

It’s off it only turns on when you press the buttons on remote to let you know like the volume level and stuff

Hello Dave, The HW-Q990B Soundbar has a front facing LED display on the far right of the soundbar unit, this will only light up when you change a setting such as what input you are on, the volume or sound modes. After a few seconds you will see the display turn off again. ~Samsung Solutions
