• Hello there, The HW-Q990B Soundbar cannot have additional rear speakers added on. You can take the rear speakers and enable them to be used as FRONT LEFT or RIGHT speakers. Within the full manual you will be able to see how this is accomplished. ~Samsung Solutions

• Out of the box it comes with a soundbar and two rear speakers and yes you can tell the difference if your audio track differentiates between front and rear
