This fiber optic cable is more durable and thicker than what comes with the tv. I had much better luck with this cable but with that being said you do not want to bend the cable just in case. Excess cable should be wound up in a circle.

It has a fiber optic component which will be damaged if you bend it, so never make any hard bends in this cable and instead loop any spare or give space from transition if you are turning a corner with it. It is a thin cable and is great (yet expensive) for what it does. Also, be sure that you order the correct cable for your specific TV - there are two versions that share a part number, yet they are not interchangeable. I think the latest model has the black ends, and previous has the white.
