• A:Answer Just be careful to not mix chemicals and remeber sometimes the washer can shake or leak so avoid open or cardboard/paper containers.

• A:Answer I was told no by the salesperson at Best Buy as well as other people I spoke to. My understanding is the manufacturer changes the base slightly so that you are "forced" into purchasing a new base. I even asked the sales person if the installer would try the new washer on my old base to see if it fit, (I would then return the newly purchased base back to the store) , again I was told that it could not be done. I bit the bullet and paid for a new base.

• A:Answer My thoughts are NO. I just bought a newer Samsung dryer. The previous one that is referenced in the question is over 5 years old. I had to buy a new pedestal as the places where the dryer lines up with the top of the pedestal does not match. I would ask a Best Buy sales person or call Samsung rather than rely upon the advice of a customer.

• A:Answer FYI: The above mentioned washer & dryer model numbers DO NOT work with the old pedestals. The installer said the old pedestals attach top to bottom & the new ones attach on the sides. I had to go back, buy the new pedestals, and wait again for delivery & installation. Please be careful to give correct information!!!
