“I know the instructions say to hook to a tv. Will it not work through an av surround sound receiver I hooked this up to an older hdmi tv and it did what I was expecting. But, trying to get surround sound and video through the Yamaha av receiver that is hooked to my main tv....nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks.”

• It needs to be plugged into an HDMI cable, you may need a auxillary cable

• Yes, it works great in my television. I have a RCA tv and it shows a great picture from my IPhone.

• If your av receiver isnt hooked up to your tv by hdmi, then it wont work through your receiver.
