The good news is that you can purchase an external usb 2.0 adapter that will connect to an HDMI cable and give your laptop the ability to send the content to your LG TV. YOu will need to obtain at least a good 14' HDMI cable for this purpose which will connect to the adapter and then to the female port on your TV. The only other option aside from this is to purchase a new laptop with a built-in HDMI port.
