“Do you need to remove the case for a phone holster before placing on charger? I have a Samsung S5 and to slide into a hip holster, it has to be in a case. Does that have to be removed first for the charger to work? Same question for my new S6 Edge (which I love!). Thanks.”

I use this with my Galaxy S6 and a Otterbox Defender and it charged the phone without any issues.

Samsung handsets include Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note edge (these require Wireless Charging Battery Covers, sold separately) as well as Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 active, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5, which do not require additional charging battery covers The first list all require the expensive adapter. The S6's and Note 5 are the only ones that truly work with it.
