Hi Young,

When you are connecting Sound Towers together, make sure they are within 3.28 feet (1 meter) from each other. Once connected they can be within Bluetooth range, roughly 30 feet. As long as there are not any obstacles between the smart device and the main Sound Tower

To initially pair, within 3 feet of each other. I have not tested them apart (line of sight) after connected. Make sure you have identified your host (pressing and holding the GroupPlay button until it starts blinking fast) first. 
Power all towers off, power the host on and Start GroupPlay on host (press and hold button until fast blink), power on and single press GroupPlay to connect 2nd speaker, continue to next speaker if applicable.
