Well, the problem is that your description of the problem brings up more questions. For instance, can you surf the internet? My first suggestion is to look at the taskbar in Windows and hover your mouse over the WiFi symbol,(right side of the taskbar); at that point, it will display what wireless network to which it is connected. If it isn't connected then that is your problem. Always good to check if your hardware is working first before going to other causalities. Also, it has McAfee handling your firewall, which takes over from the standard firewall that comes with Windows. I uninstalled it in favor of my preferred virus/malware protection because of problems similar to what you described. I hope some of this helps, if not then please let me know. Good luck!
