Open the back by first remove 4 screws under each rubber foot, then carefully pry open the case. I started by the side under the display. Samsung is very kind and considerate by not only providing you with an empty 2.5 slot for storage upgrade, but the cable and necessary fixtures are all present. I saw mixed answers to the upgradability of this laptop before the purchase, you can guess how excited I'm when I open the case and saw inside for the first time. I really wanted this laptop because it's display quality surpasses many other laptops cost a lot more. Dropped a 2 TB Crucial SATA SSD in the slot, works perfectly. Enjoy your upgrade too! (2.5 slot is on the lower right side with metal cover and 4 screws attached to it)
