There is a Notebook 9 Pen 13" refresh due in Q1 2018 which will have the Gen 8 processor. Unfortunately it doesn't have Thunderbolt (USB-C Gen1 only) and no dGPU (Intel Integrated only). Personally I would go for the Notebook 9 Pro 15" if you can deal with the slightly larger size. The 15" isn't that much bigger than the 13" the biggest difference will be shorter battery life but has dedicated GPU and larger screen obviously. The information on the refreshed 13" isn't clear on the amount of RAM - if it is limited to 8GB of RAM then the N9P 15" becomes a far better option with 16GB of RAM. I have the older Gen 7 15" Pro and it's a great machine. The Gen 8 would be a nice improvement. The pen experience on these devices is amazing!
