I have owned this laptop for over 30 days and have used it multiple times a day, every day, for up to 8 hours at a time. I run multiple applications and browsers simultaneously and it is not unusual for me to have 20 windows open at a time. I have never heard the fan on this laptop and I have never experienced it getting especially hot. When it does start to heat up it cools down almost immediately (I assume the fans kick into overdrive, although again, I have never heard them). If you are experiencing fan noise and overheating, it sounds as though your laptop is defective.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I own this computer and have found similar issues with mine as well. I opened the back plate and found a good amount of dust in and around the fan. After removing the fan and cleaning it things seemed to have really quieted down.
