“How do I get three monitors in one? I can see my laptop screen, but when I try and move an excel spreadsheet or outlook to another section of the monitor it only stays on the same laptop screen.”

Depending on if you're using Windows, Mac or Chrome. You need to first go into your display settings then select your display setup up. To view through the laptop screen and another monitor, have your cable connection secured (HDMI, Displayport, etc.) then choose , Extend these displays.

Right click on, go to display settings and scroll down, you should see a section where it says extend. Make sure you can see both your monitors. The laptop screen and the samsung.
