I tried to make it fall down steps. It was smart enough to back up. I tried to gently push it over the steps. TOO SMART It wouldn't go over the steps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it backs up when it detects that it’s front end is hanging over a precipice, such as the head of a stairs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine fell down the stairs this weekend and nicked a brand new floor landing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't have Mars rover technology lol but you need to use boundary tape to stop it from falling down the stairs and or entering areas you would not want it to go in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I rolled out the border tape to temporarily protect it from falling down the stairs, and the border tape worked. Next time, I will monitor it when it nears the stairs, not install the tape, and see what happens. It seems to sense when it is coming close to danger, slows down its approach, and then properly avoids the potential problem. I noticed this with electrical cords --- it came close to it, but then stopped and backed away. I am hopeful that it will do likewise with stairs. This is one really great machine that I used for the firsts time yesterday and I am impressed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the unit will fall down the stairs.
