• No it will not fall off your stair. However if the sensors underneath the robot get dirty or damage as time goes by, it will not detect a drop off and may allow your robot to fall. This is the same with all robot vacuum.

• My wife rolls up a towel, and places it in across doorways that she wants it to avoid. I'm sure this would work for your stairway, too.

• No there are add ons to make it stop but just block the stairs to be safe

• Hi swimgran! The vacuum comes with boundary markers that you can put down to prevent the vacuum from entering certain areas or to avoid drop offs. ^Jecca
