Last time I transfered files from internal flash drive to memory card I found dates and time on files changed to the date/time of the transfer and the resolution reduced to 720 from 1080.”

I would imagine that as long as you format the card to a common file format that can be read by both the camera and the tablet (in this case, I would imagine FAT32 or possible extFAT (the camera may not support extFAT but I know that the tablet will because I have a galaxy tab s 8.4)) then you should be good to go. I've done the transferring of SD cards between devices but it was from a DSLR to a camcorder and I don't remember any issues outside of the additional folders being written to the card itself
