The Galaxy Note8 accepts microSD cards up to 256GB, so the 256GB PRO Plus microSD card is compatible. If another microSD card is already in use, it will need to be removed.

I bought it for use in laptops. I do remember reading in the past that cell phones are sometimes limited on GB size, though. I'd do a 'deep' search on the specs and limits of your particular cell phone. 256 GB is a pretty large amount of memory. Your phone may not be rated to handle it.
