QuestionHi, is this refurbished phone off or on contract? I'd like to purchase it to keep my off-contract (prepaid) Verizon status, yet at the bottom of the phone description, it says 'an early termination fee of $350 applies". Thanks.

- Answer Can be used either way. When I called them to activate mine, they gave me the option of prepaid or postpaid (plan).

- Answer When you get the phone it will start up and you can download apps and customize the phone. To make calls and send text you need a sim card.

- Answer Best Buy only provides a 90 days parts and labor warranty for refurbished phones. Since it is refurbished, the original Samsung warranty is not valid. If you want more coverage you have to buy one of the Best Buy protection plans.

- Answer 1) I got a a 90 day return from best buy and a year from Samsung directly. 2)Samsung has a program that lets you transfer all of the files from your previous phone. Even apple. It is really convenient.
