Marty, The phone was refurbished by Samsung. However, the warranty would be hard to be used if you needed in my opinion. My phone came missing accessories that were mentioned in the description of the phone. Samsung did not help me and told me to contact Best Buy. Best Buy referred me back to Samsung. So I figured it would be challenging to use your warranty. Best Buy told me they do not guarantee that all parts and accessories will be with the phone.

Refurbished - The cell is repaired and a new screen, case, etc is installed. The cell looks like a new cell. You can't tell the difference between a refurbished and new cell phone by looking at them.
