• Yes. This model is listed as a 2016, just to be certain I looked at the back of mine and it says "Mfg 2016 09".

• The Samsung UHD-K8500 is their first player introduced in 2016. The 2017 model I believe is not yet released but is numbered M9500. Hope that helps!
