Yes, after 2 years I have found a fix! I cut it off with a razor/box cutter. Samsung was completely useless and just wanted to keep selling me a new kick plate and install kit. I'm done with this company!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes there is a problem. The flap has a two fold purpose; noise insulation and to catch moisture. In January, Samsung posted how to install the flap behind the kick plate. This did not work for me. Samsung has sent someone out twice and now I am waiting for a call from their executive customer resolution. This is an engineering or quality control problem. It is obvious on my dishwasher that the flap is not long enough to go under the plate after it tucks around the bottom of the door. It was a good idea, but I think that there are problems with the manufacture of the rubber or the way it is installed on the door. Since the dishwasher came with the flap attached to the door, it is not the installers fault. I went to Home Depot and looked at several dishwashers on display with mud flaps. Some were tucked in properly and some not. They were manufactured under the various GE appliance names: Samsung, GE, etc. This leads me to lean more towards a quality control issue than an engineering issue but it could be both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, we are having the same issue. I am thinking of double taping it to stop it from coming loose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It just hangs there and looks messy, in my opinion. I've never seen a front like this before.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem! My question is part of mine is tucked on top of what looks like a fan and part hangs down! Is it supposed to be tucked back or hanging down. I removed the kick plate but can’t tuck it back and make it stay!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! My installer (not Best Buy, my kitchen remodeler) had no idea why that happens. Doesn't bother me since I can't see it unless I make a point of looking at it...we have an island parallel to the dishwasher so it's not noticeable from across the room. But if anyone has a way to fix it, I'd love to hear it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it falls continually.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! Can't get it to stay up. Eventually I assumed it was meant to be dangling down like that. I figured mine was just special. Now I'll be trying to get it to stay again. Thanks. ;) Only thing I can suggest here is I've folded it up and tried to slide it under the access panel. I think to do it right maybe have to undo the front panel and then get that rubber piece up over the panel and then screw it back in. That's a lot of work for a rubber flap I can't see 99% of the time so I haven't tried it yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it was never connected in the first place. Looks so dumb.
