“DW80K7050UG Bottom in front of kickplate rubber shield falls down. I have looked at photos online & do not see this rubber flap. Is this suppose to fit behind kickplate? It is unsightly and very wrinkled. I tuck it in & it falls. What is it's use?”

The rubber shield is supposed to be installed behind the metal kickplate. On my unit it does not either interfere or come out of place. The purpose of this shield is to reduce the sound of the dishwasher operating even further. I have to look at the operating lights to check that it is on and working. Hope this helps.
