SamsungFan14, Updating the television was the best idea - always check to make sure no new versions are available. It sounds like the camera is connecting, but then disconnecting - and unfortunately, there's not much to diagnose. Here's a guide for using Skype - and if this doesn't help solve the issue, you may want to reach out to the Samsung customer service center directly - or see if you can exchange the camera.
