QuestionIs it possible to access the SD card via my local area network?In other words, do I have to remove the SD card to copy the files to my computer. Or, can I access the SD card via my network so I can copy the files to my hard drive.

- Answer I haven't tried that, but you can access it through the software it comes with.

QuestionDoes this camera require a specific wifi or router?I purchased a different brand Wifi camera the other day. Turns out the stinkin thing requires some certain wifi. I am living at an RV park and do not know the questions it asked. They asked me to change the router or something. All I know is all my electronics are connected with no issues. I do not want to make another purchase before I know this one will work! The other camera would not even detect the wifi connection even though the computer I was setting it up on was connected. I DONT GET IT! THANKS!

- Answer I own 2 of these and both can connect to 802.11n and below. I do not believe they are 802.11ac (the newest standard).

- Answer Everything needed to setup the camera is included except the app. Download the appropriate app for your Android/Apple device and setup is simple.

- Answer Yes. the camera support iOS 7 and higher. I recommend at least iPhone 5 and up for performance.

QuestionDoes this WiFi device interfere with standard home WiFi systems

- Answer No, the device will not interfere with your home network. The camera only streams video when the user connects to the camera. If no one is viewing the camera, the camera is pretty much in standby mode only analyzing motion detection or audio detection if you have the feature enabled. The camera will never stream video out unless you request it or when it sends out snapshot from event detection.

- Answer No. If you have 802.11b, 802.11a, or 802.11n ...or the latest AC standard, the camera is capable of connecting to wifi on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands, so if you have wifi, you are covered, so long as your camera is within range of your wifi signal.

- Answer Not waterproofed. No weather seal. Unit stand on flat surface and no mounting options. But you can drill holes on the base to mount. You can put in dry area to monitor, but you need to have a power source to plug in. It will pick up any motion in the frame. No control over frame area for motion.

- Answer I don't see any ability to do that. Based on what I've read, they use to have this capability, but removed it in the latest firmware.

- Answer This is a stand alone unit, although an android device and the Samsung SmartCam app is needed to live monitor.

QuestionAfter remotely viewing video, can the video be "dumped" by using smartphone app, in order to continue recording?

- Answer Yes, you can erase the video clips, but it isn't super intuitive. You need to a different part of the app to manage the video clips and delete them, or you can format the card. Wish they just had a delete button on the video.

- Answer I tested this. 1 gb is used for 3 hrs continuous recording. I bought a 32gb so that is 96 hrs. I will be using motion recording, not continuous, so that can be 2 to 6 weeks. That depends greatly on how you set that up and traffic of area. Please be sure to do research on micro sd cards and speed ratings. They are not created equal. You need a speed rating that will record HD. I bought a micro sdhc uhs-1
