Yes. It only works with Smarthings or wink hubs as far as I can find. It will work well, the Alexa app seems to have issues connecting directly to the hub when you click on "devices", but the smart things app and all echo devices on your account will lock and unlock your door. I just installed the same lock yesterday. You will need to enable the unlocking ability in the Alexa app and set a pin for voice verification.
