“Do I need to install all the apps for all my lights (different brands) in order for the Samsung Smart Things Hub to work or will it operate them on its own?”

• I bought this because i got a schlage door lock, i only had to go to SAMSUNG SMART THINGS APP and add the hub and the lock to my device list. So i belive that whatever device you get that is compatible with smart things, you wont need additional apps, just go in and add device, you should be able to find it, if in fact compatible. Hope helps.
