I can view it in real time. Yes, only needs power and wifi. However in my case it was useless; disconnects multiple times. I was told by tech support that it does not work with 5G wifi.

Please try again later.Sam, the SmartThings Cam does allow Live video from a compatible iOS or Android phone with the newest SmartThings App. The SmartThings Camera will need to be plugged in and connected to WiFi. Through the SmartThings App, you can also create custom automations for recording video if needed.
