This should work for you, the initial "setup" is the most difficult in which you have to setup the "Home" zone, and it will alert you (via the app) that the device has left the zone. You will want to charge the device every few days.

The problem with dementia patients is that they routinely hide stuff and constantly move it around. Even when you tell them to leave it. I was tracking his shower....at that point I shut it down and have not used it since. Great device but only if they keep it on them.
