Q: How many days can a single charge last for?
A: I'm getting about 3-4 days out of each charge when I leave it on constantly.
Q: Does the LTE data cost anything?
A: not for the first year, but then $5.00 per monthly bill, or $50 per year
Q: Can I use on a child if we are going on a cruise to Mexico? Or does this only work in the US?
A: NO! This thing does not hold a charge longer than a day. It will give an accurate location, but you'll have to take a risk of a dead battery!! Not worth the money!!
A: No it doesnt
A: This should work for you, the initial "setup" is the most difficult in which you have to setup the "Home" zone, and it will alert you (via the app) that the device has left the zone. You will want to charge the device every few days.
A: No, it isn’t.
Q: How far away can i be from device before i can't use it
A: The device uses the LTE cellular network. You can be anywhere in the world and leave it here in the US and you can still track it. Assuming the battery is still charged.
A: Yes. Mine automatically turns off in the scenario you described. I put mine in my car, and I have it plugged into a portable charger. The only way that I have found as a workaround is to have the tracker automatically send you its location every 3 hours. That setting should be in the Samsung Smart Things app.
