• NO! This thing does not hold a charge longer than a day. It will give an accurate location, but you'll have to take a risk of a dead battery!! Not worth the money!!

• It works in Mexico (or at least Central Mexico) although I found the resolution poor. Not sure that it would work at sea. I doubt that you would accurately be able to tell where on the cruise ship the child was.
