• Yes. Mine automatically turns off in the scenario you described. I put mine in my car, and I have it plugged into a portable charger. The only way that I have found as a workaround is to have the tracker automatically send you its location every 3 hours. That setting should be in the Samsung Smart Things app.

• No. As long as the tracker has sufficient battery power, my tracker does not automatically turn off after a certain number of days, regardless of moving or not.
